L. Thakral Best Paper Award of the IEEE International Symposium on Electronic Systems (IEEE \u2013 iSES)\u201d<\/strong> has been established to commemorate the life of <strong>Dr. K L Thakral<\/strong>, founding chancellor of Oriental University Indore. He was also instrumental in establishing the IETE Sub Center at Indore.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The best paper will be awarded based on technical excellence. Other criteria such as innovation, contribution to the research community, technical originality, and clarity of writing will also be considered.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>The award will include a cash prize of INR 5,000.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>iSES 2021 &#8211; Best Paper Awards:<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>1) Title: Low Power Sorters Using Clock Gating<\/strong><br \/>\nAuthors: Preethi P and Mohan K g (Presidency University, Bangalore, India); Sudeendra kumar K (National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, India); Kamala Kanta Mahapatra (National Institute of Technology, India)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>2) Title: VLSI Architecture of Sigmoid Activation Function for Rapid Prototyping of Machine Learning Applications<\/strong><br \/>\nAuthors: Binit Kumar Pandit (Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, India); Ayan Banerjee (Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, India)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>3) Title: An Automated MDD Detection System based on Machine Learning Methods in Smart Connected Healthcare<\/strong><br \/>\nAuthors: Geetanjali Sharma (Indraprastha University, India); Amit Joshi (Malviya National Institute of Technology, India); Emmanuel Shubhakar Pilli (Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur, India)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>4) K L Thakral Best Paper Award<\/strong><br \/>\nTitle: A Novel System Architecture for Automated Field-Based Tent Systems for Controlled-Environment Agriculture<br \/>\nAuthors: Dan Wagner, Arslan Munir and Mitchell L Neilsen (Kansas State University, USA)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The \u201cK.
